Capt.
Michael Whitehead is the host of Boathouse TV & Radio Shows,
and lives in Southern California where you can usually find him on the water.
Mike is a well known in the boating world as a professional Captain,
active member in
numerous organizations plus a prominent maritime
consultant and speaker.
Capt. Mike is on the forefront of boating and known for always being in front of a camera or microphone for his shows, plus as an author of two books, a magazine boat test writer, journalist, and a weekly newspaper columnist. Boaters enjoy his knowledgeable yet easygoing manner of never speaking down to a novice yet still reaching the experts. Capt. Mike is an active United States Coast Guard licensed Captain and you will find him usually on a voyage somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Giving back to the community is in the heart of Capt. Mike as he volunteers on committees, events, and being the celebrity host for Public Service Announcements and Educational Videos like the two time award winning video titled, "What Starts at the Drain, Feeds the Harbor When it Rains."
